About the Eins System
This page explains who runs the project, under what institutional rules it runs, and how to reach us. For how the index system itself works, see "System Introduction"; for legal and usage terms, see "Disclaimer".
Project Introduction
Eins is an AI-influence index system: it organizes the capability and public-attention influence of major AI model organizations into a family of understandable, re-checkable, communicable public indices (flagship: Eins Index / AI Origin Composite Index).
The system offers no payment functionality, involves no financial transactions and constitutes no investment advice. The indices exist for understanding and communicating the AI capability competition.
Who Runs It
The project is maintained part-time by an anonymous team. We chose anonymity so that discussion stays on the methods and the data rather than on the identity of the publisher. The operating rules and the methodology versions are disclosed with every formal settlement, so others can scrutinise our work and point out where we are wrong.
Anonymity does not mean absence of responsibility. Material changes to the method or to a calculation basis are published on the notices page.
Governance and Review
Review runs along two paths. The first is the data snapshots and event windows published with every settlement, which let others trace how a figure was produced and flag deviations. The second is the Arbitration Committee, which handles disputed entries and the interpretation of calculation bases; see the "Arbitration Committee" page.
Responsibility for Content and Data
Index data comes from public, read-only sources. Missing data retains the last valid value and is labelled as such; "no data" is never written as "zero". The methodology version, constituent set and parameter versions are disclosed with every official settlement.
If we are wrong, we will correct it: material revisions of data or of a calculation basis are explained on the notices page, with the entry and the reason. For the specific legal terms, see "Disclaimer".
Data Licence
The index data published on this site is released under CC BY-SA 4.0 (Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 International), commercial use permitted, attributed to the EINS Arbitration Committee. Redistributions should retain that attribution and be released under the same licence. The full licence text is at the Creative Commons page.
Contact
For corrections, objections, collaborative research, API interest registration and other formal matters, please email contact@einsindex.com. Email is the only channel where we can guarantee nothing is missed, and every message is read carefully; given our limited capacity, replies may not be fast, and we ask for your understanding.
The committee has its own mailbox and process; see the "Arbitration Committee" page.
You are also welcome to write simply to say hello, or to tell us where something is not clearly written.
Community Discussion
Beyond email, community members have organized two discussion channels on their own initiative: Discord and QQ group 1064134649. They are set up and maintained by community members and are not official publication channels; announcements and index data on this site are authoritative. Project team members try to take part in the discussion, but we are all part-time and cannot guarantee timely responses; we ask for your understanding.
