12.1 · Generality of the FA + RI architecture

The two-component architecture — a slow, stock-like anchor plus a fast, centered flow signal — is not specific to AI. It transfers, with the same conservation semantics, to other influence fields, for example: influence in a scientific community (anchor: publications and citations; flow: research discussion); influence of an open-source ecosystem (anchor: repository and dependency stock; flow: developer attention); influence of a regional or industry ecosystem (anchor: capacity and output stock; flow: news and adoption); and influence of cultural production (anchor: canon and archive stock; flow: public discussion). The object of the current system is AI Originators. The generality claim is stated as a design property (anchor and flow are generic measurement objects), not as a delivered multi-domain system.

12.2 · Method roadmap

Three items are planned next. A unified calibration experiment will re-estimate the V1 reference parameters in batch against held-out evaluation and report the sensitivity of the invariants to the parameter vector (the design is given in Section 8.7). Board expansion will add qualified Originators under the inclusion rules and evolve the inclusion rules themselves as the roster grows. Source-swap migration drills will exercise the replaceability mechanism (Appendix D) so that the system's dependence on any single source is continuously testable. A fourth item runs alongside: the construct-validity evidence program of Section 8.6 — collecting the external convergent and event-consequence evidence that only time and independent data can supply.

12.3 · Dissemination and public-knowledge infrastructure

The vision of the system couples evaluation methodology with communication science for AI concept and information equality. The index is designed as a piece of public-knowledge infrastructure: the same artifact that is rigorous enough to be a fairness anchor is simple enough to be read by a layperson (Section 7.4). The system is open to being studied as an experiment in science communication — what an audience does with a single, real-time, conservation-anchored number about AI influence. We do not over-promise: the infrastructure claim is a direction of work, not a delivered outcome, and the reflexive dynamics of a public influence number are themselves a research object (Section 7.5).

12.4 · Honest boundaries, restated

The data window is short and will grow; the reference parameters are V1 values whose unified calibration is pending; the live signal is opaque by design and its openness timing is undecided; and the roster is small and will expand. Each of these is a known, stated boundary with a known next step. Two further boundaries are restated because they are the ones most likely to be over-read: the index does not predict (it records what has already happened), and it does not measure influence beyond the extent expressible in verifiable public sources (Section 2.5).
